In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
