It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batsmen to maintain a record if not provided the possibility.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in every game, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and after that the right-hander was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself that way, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was out the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if we do, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this championship want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing despite the injury.
